Awww dammit. I made the acquaintance of my own gallbladder last year, before I’d become acquainted with this one. For the past 18 months I’d been picturing him as a hostile fellow, somewhat inclined to murder me or at least cause a great deal of pain if I eat the wrong thing. I’d even started considering the dread Operation…but now, I just can’t. I myself am awkward, mostly useless, and fairly dispensable, so I feel a certain kinship with that little organ. Perhaps we can learn to coexist, after all. What’s a little horrendous pain between friends with so much in common?
