Because in many other languages, nouns have gender — la xyz, el pdq, etc. I am guessing that Dagitab speaks other languages in addition to English, where “heart” is female. For example, in my native language, the “moon” is male, the “sun” is neuter, and the “earth” is female (“Nose” is male, “hand” is female, “ear” is neuter. Whee!). It’s not “sexist” — it’s LANGUAGE. And if you want to dig into why a particular language has, over hundreds of years, assigned genders to objects and ideas a certain way, I’d suggest pouring lots of coffee.

I always saw the organs as male because they’re Lars’s and he is male. That’s just how my mind put it. I think anyone is allowed to think of it anyway they want, people arguing that they’re male or female should just stick with their own opinion and leave others alone…
