The butterfly turned out to be a moth which is currently eating a hole in the back of his hat.

He’s using the wrong kind of menorah for Hanukkah, there should be 4 candles on either side of the shemah middle candle.

    • Randys MarshmellowMan December 16, 2014 at 3:23 am

that’s a lot of candles to draw in a tiny spaces

No, what he’s lighting is for Kwanza (another light festival). So he’s showing various traditions.

      • Serena Champ Aneres December 19, 2014 at 6:05 pm

He’s talking about the menorah. It has three candles on either side. He’s not talking about the last cell.

        • Jonny Spence December 21, 2014 at 2:42 am

The menorah does have four places for candles on each side.

          • Kittysafe December 30, 2014 at 11:48 pm

            He fixed it.

    • joanndoud December 30, 2014 at 11:20 pm

The Menorah is correct. I think you’re looking at the Kwanzaa Kinara.

      • Kittysafe December 30, 2014 at 11:49 pm

He fixed it, it had 3 on either side originally.

    • Nathaniel Miller January 12, 2015 at 3:02 am

the menorah has enough candle spots, if you are referring to the last panel with the red, green, black, those are kwanza candles

  • Ludvig Janiuk December 20, 2015 at 5:18 pm

This makes me sad. Brain, don’t censor the word “Christmas”!

    • TVLukeR December 20, 2015 at 6:50 pm

Christmas is literally the biggest word in the entire comic…

  • Pamela Jessen December 20, 2015 at 6:05 pm

Okay, I have to say this…I don’t like it when Butterfly isn’t fully visible. It just doesn’t seem right…like Heart’s best friend is missing. Please keep Butterfly in the picture!!!

  • The Occupant December 21, 2015 at 12:59 am

    Praise Sol Invictus!

  • Beth Kelley December 21, 2015 at 5:00 pm

    🙂 So cute!

  • Derek Wheeler October 26, 2017 at 3:04 pm

Except Happy Holidays doesn’t reference the other non christmas holidays at all. It references New Years. That’s it. Happy Holidays is short hand for “Merry Christmas and Happy New Years”
